How it works

Four steps to true privacy

No trust required. With Ambry, your files are locked on your device before they ever reach the cloud — so no one in between can read them, including us.

  1. Step 01

    Install Ambry

    Download on iOS or Android and set a master password. It never leaves your device.

  2. Step 02

    Keys live on-device

    Your password derives your encryption keys via Argon2id. Only you can unlock your files.

  3. Step 03

    Connect Google accounts

    Add as many Google accounts as you want. Each one adds 15 GB of storage you already own.

  4. Step 04

    Upload — encrypted

    Files encrypt on-device, route through our server as ciphertext, and land in your Drive.

What happens on our servers?

Only ciphertext passes through Ambry. We never see your master password, your encryption keys, your file contents, or even your file names. Want the cryptographic detail? Read the security overview →
